Caleb Johnson has spent the last seven years behind bars in the
Yuma territorial person for the murder of the two men who killed his wife,
Lucy. Tormented by the memories of his wife and the horrors he witnesses in the
War Between the States, he hopes to put the past behind him and seek a new life

when she calls them vampires. Concerned for her, he agrees to see her safely
home in New Kingdom, Nebraska. When Caleb realizes Morning Dove is hunted prey,

Separated, Morning Dove is captured and Caleb takes it upon
himself to go to New Kingdom in hopes of rescuing her. Once in the small
Nebraska town he’s faced with much more than vampires. All the supernatural

the beings are malevolent and they ally themselves with him in an attempt to
free New Kingdom from the dark forces that have embedded themselves in the
small frontier town.
